Pristine Seas Expeditions | Underwater message from the Desventuradas Islands
National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Enric Sala sends an update from the Desventuradas Islands (Chile). One of the
newest features of the expedition is the DeepSee submarine that is used for the
first time in Chile. The DeepSee can dive to 450 meters with three passengers on
board, maintaining 360-degree vision thanks to its transparent acrylic dome. In
this short clip filmed in the submarine, Enric shares his first impressions of
the discoveries and encounters experienced in this remote and unexplored area.
